I think that 3D Tic-Tac-Toe will work quite well for this challenge.  I have completed the first run of the cards, the image of them is here:

Trying to figure out what I should add/change but I think it looks pretty damned good.  Any ideas or comments are surely welcome.

I like the idea, it’s very clever. I think the execution is a little flawed, though.
I had the advantage of not knowing that the game on the back was in fact 3D tic tac toe when I first looked at the card. I have to say that without the title, the instructions become a little ambiguous, especially the part about ‘depth wise’.

I can see where some of the confusion might come from. I forgot to include the title of the game on the card, which is something I have rectified but have not posted it here. The “depth wise” thing is really the best way I can think of making people aware of the 3-Dimensional state of the game without using up all the space on the card. It’s certainly something I will have to work with. Thanks for the input!

Just putting the title on the card should help plenty. I understood the premise of the game as soon as I read your post and the title.

  1. Kyle,

I agree with Max here. I was able to understand how the game was played by reading your blog, but not by the rules on the card. The title would describe it more clearly.
